The Woochie Latex Nose Big is a ready-to-use latex nose prosthetic from Woochie for theatre, Halloween, and cosplay. Apply it to your nose, colour it to match your skin tone or character, and your big-nose look is complete.
What is the Nose Big?
A latex prosthetic shaped like an oversized, broad nose. The thin, finished edges blend seamlessly into your skin, making the transition almost invisible. Remove it carefully after use, clean it, and store it dry, and you can reuse it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No sculpting, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and painting it in. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Nose Big?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards towards the edges. Then blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the smoothest transition. Dust the edges with setting powder before moving on to colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, greasepaint, or alcohol-activated make-up (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match your skin tone for a subtle disguise, or go for pale, yellowish, or greenish tones for an expressive character look like a witch or caricature figure.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All, or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently, and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
