The Woochie Latex Antlers Large is a latex horn prosthetic by Woochie for creating a deer antler look for Halloween, cosplay and fantasy. Apply the antlers to your forehead, colour them to match your look and your character is complete.
What is the Antlers Large?
A latex prosthetic in the shape of large deer antlers. The edges are thin and taper smoothly into the skin for a realistic transition. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it and store it dry - you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No moulding, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The antler shape is already fully formed. Your work goes into blending the edges and colouring it in. That's where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Antlers Large?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your forehead first to find the right position. Do this before applying any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting adhesion; for a quick fix you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto the skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards towards the edges. Then blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the best transition. Powder the edges with setting powder before you start colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated makeup (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Use grey or brown as a base, then add dark shadow into the grooves and light highlights on the tips of the antlers for a three-dimensional result.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing runs. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic carefully and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
