What is the Werewolf Nose Small?
A latex prosthetic shaped like a broad, animalistic werewolf nose with flared nostrils. The edges taper to a thin finish so they blend naturally into your own skin. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it and store it dry - and you can use it again and again.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No moulding, no waiting for dry times, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and painting it in. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Werewolf Nose Small?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick fix you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Blend the edges with liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin coats give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before you start colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, greasepaint or alcohol-activated makeup (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match the nose to your skin tone for a subtle look, or go for greenish-grey and dark brown for a convincing werewolf character look.
Pro tip: Start with a dark grey-brown base colour across the whole nose, then add light highlights along the bridge and tip, and deepen the nostril areas with a darker shade. This gives the prosthetic that realistic three-dimensional quality.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
