Polytek PlatSil Gel-25, 1 kg | Medium Prosthetic Silicone
PlatSil Gel-25 is a medium-firm platinum-cure silicone from Polytek, designed for prosthetics, silicone masks and lifecasting. With a Shore A25 hardness, it holds its shape better than Gel-10 while remaining flexible enough to move with the skin. It is used by film and theatre professionals worldwide.

What is PlatSil Gel-25?
PlatSil Gel-25 is a platinum-cure silicone rubber with a Shore A25 hardness. It is firm enough to hold its shape, yet flexible enough to move with the skin. You use it for prosthetics that need more body, for shape-retaining silicone masks, and for lifecasting of faces or body parts.
The firmer hardness means you need less Smiths Prosthetic Deadener than with Gel-10: up to 100% (compared to 300% for Gel-10). Working time is slightly shorter at five minutes, and you leave the mould to cure for about an hour before demoulding.

How to use PlatSil Gel-25
- Add silicone pigment to Part B before combining with Part A. This preserves your full working time for even colour distribution while keeping the cure rate consistent.
- Using Deadener for extra flexibility? Add the Deadener to Part A first, then combine both parts. Up to 100% Deadener is possible with Gel-25.
- Mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio (by weight or volume) until fully homogeneous.
- Pour or apply into your mould or onto the skin within the five-minute working time.
- Wait approximately one hour before demoulding or removal.
