ProAiir Profile Stencil Tropical
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are made to cover half a face in minutes. With this Tropical Profile Stencil you place a tropical character design on the side of the face. Put the stencil against the face, press it flat, airbrush, lift the stencil, done. Great for kids' parties, festivals and themed events.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a makeup sponge or finger sponge is possible, but the size of the stencil makes it more challenging.
What is the Profile Stencil Tropical?
A reusable makeup stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a tropical character design that you place on the side of the face.
The colours shown in the product images are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is determined by your own makeup choice.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. Works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest results. A damp sponge with face paint works too, but fine detail is harder to achieve given the stencil size.
- Quick character effect. A complete Tropical look in 2 to 3 minutes. Ideal when you need to paint several faces quickly at a children's party or event.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly, store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the face. The thin, flexible mylar hugs the cheek, forehead and nose bridge so the edges stay flush against the skin.
How to use the stencil
- Press the stencil flat against one half of the face, with the eye opening aligned over the eye.
- Spray with an airbrush for the sharpest, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp makeup sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine details are trickier due to the stencil size.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Don't slide it across the skin, or the lines will smear.
Tip with face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, blurring the lines.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-based face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with mild soap. Pat dry gently and leave it flat until completely dry. Don't roll or fold the mylar, as this creates permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. Both dissolve the alcohol-based paint without swelling the mylar.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
