ProAiir Profile Stencil Flamingo
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to decorate half a face in minutes. With this Flamingo Profile Stencil you put an elegant flamingo character on the side of the face. Place the stencil on the face, press it down, airbrush, lift the stencil off, done. Great for kids' parties, animal-themed events and workshops where you need a recognisable design quickly.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a make-up sponge or finger sponge is possible, but the size of the stencil makes it more of a challenge.
What is the Profile Stencil Flamingo?
A reusable make-up stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a flamingo character cut into mylar, placed on the side of the face, well suited to animal and nature themes.
The colours shown in the product photos are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is entirely up to you and your choice of make-up.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. Works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest result. A damp sponge with face paint works too, but the large format makes fine detail harder to achieve.
- Fast character effect. A complete flamingo look in 2 to 3 minutes. Ideal for kids' parties and zoo-theme events where you need to work through a long queue.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly, store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The thin, flexible mylar conforms to the cheek, forehead and bridge of the nose without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one half of the face, with the eye opening around the eye.
- Airbrush for the best, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp make-up sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine detail is harder to achieve due to the size of the stencil.
- Lift the stencil straight off. Don't slide it across the skin, or you'll drag the edges of the design.
Tip for face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, giving you blurry lines.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a little mild soap. Pat it dry gently and leave it lying flat until fully dry. Don't roll or fold it, or the mylar will crease permanently.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve alcohol-based make-up without swelling the mylar.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
