ProAiir Profile Stencil Snake Bite
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to schmink a half-face in no time. With this Snake Bite Profile Stencil you apply a snake bite character design to the side of the face. Place the stencil on the face, press it down, airbrush, lift the stencil off, done. Great for Halloween events, SFX photoshoots and theatre or film productions with a horror theme.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a makeup sponge or finger sponge is possible too, but the size of the stencil makes it more of a challenge.
What is the Profile Stencil Snake Bite?
A reusable makeup stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (roughly 0.18 mm). One character design per stencil: in this case a Snake Bite design that you position on the side of the face for an atmospheric horror or Halloween look.
The colours shown in the product photos are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is determined by the makeup you choose to use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Designed for airbrush. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest results. A damp sponge or water-activated makeup works too, but the larger format means finer details will be less crisp.
- Quick character effect. A complete Snake Bite look in 2 to 3 minutes. Perfect when you need to work through several faces at a Halloween event or workshop.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly, store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The thin, flexible mylar hugs the cheek, forehead and bridge of the nose so the edges stay in place while you work.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one side of the face, aligning the eye cutout with the eye.
- Airbrush over the stencil for the best, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp makeup sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine detail becomes trickier due to the stencil's size.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Don't slide it across the skin or the lines will smear.
Tip for water-activated makeup: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the makeup seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated makeup? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a mild soap. Pat it dry and lay it flat until it is completely dry. Don't roll or fold it, otherwise the mylar will get permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve alcohol-based makeup without causing the mylar to swell.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
