The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to cover half a face in no time. With this Petunia Profile Stencil, you place a sweet character design on the side of the face. Position the stencil, press it down, airbrush, lift the stencil off, done. Great for kids' parties, festivals, and themed events.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a make-up sponge or finger sponge is possible too, but the size of the stencil makes it more challenging.
What is the Profile Stencil Petunia?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm). One character design per stencil: in this case the Petunia character, cut into mylar as a half-face stencil for the side of the face.
The colours shown in the product photos are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is entirely your choice, based on the face paint you use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, or Endura for the sharpest results. A damp sponge with water-activated face paint works too, but fine detail becomes harder given the stencil size.
- Quick character effect. A complete Petunia look in 2 to 3 minutes. Ideal for busy kids' parties where you need to work quickly with a recognisable design.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it well and store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the shape of the face. The thin, pliable mylar fits snugly against the cheek, forehead, and nose bridge without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one half of the face, with the eye cutout positioned around the eye.
- Airbrush for the best, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp make-up sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine details are harder to achieve given the stencil size.
- Lift the stencil straight off. Don't drag it across the skin, or the lines will smear.
Tip for water-activated face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a little mild soap. Pat it dry gently and leave it lying flat until fully dry. Don't roll or fold it, or the mylar will get permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve alcohol-based paint without swelling the mylar.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
