ProAiir Profile Stencil Dino Land
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to schmink half a face in next to no time. With this Dino Land Profile Stencil you place a dinosaur character design on the side of the face. Position the stencil, press it flat, airbrush, lift the stencil, done. Ideal for kids' parties and birthdays, animal or zoo-themed events, and theatre or film productions with a nature or animal theme.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Working with a face painting sponge or finger sponge is possible too, but the size of the stencil makes it more of a challenge.
What is the Profile Stencil Dino Land?
A reusable makeup stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a Dino Land character design cut into mylar, a half-face stencil for the side of the face, suited to animal and nature-themed work.
The colours shown in the product images are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is determined by the makeup you choose to use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Designed for airbrush. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, or Endura for the sharpest result. A damp sponge with face paint works too, but the size of the stencil makes fine detail harder to achieve.
- Fast character effect. A complete Dino Land look in 2 to 3 minutes. Perfect for anyone who needs a recognisable animal design quickly at a party or event.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The mylar is thin and pliable, so it fits neatly against the cheek, forehead, and nose bridge without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one side of the face, with the eye opening aligned around the eye.
- Spray with the airbrush for the best, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp face painting sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine details are trickier given the size of the stencil.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Don't slide it across the skin, or the lines will smear.
Tip when using face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a mild soap. Pat it dry gently and leave it lying flat until fully dry. Don't roll or fold it, or the mylar will crease permanently.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve the alcohol-based makeup without swelling the mylar.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
