The ProAiir Profile Stencils are built to make up half a face in no time. With this Candy Elf Profile Stencil you place a festive elf character on the side of the face. Position the stencil, press it flat, airbrush, lift it off, done. Ideal for Christmas parties, winter events and photoshoots with kids and adults alike.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a face paint sponge or finger sponge is possible too, but the size of the stencil makes it more challenging.
What is the Profile Stencil Candy Elf?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a Candy Elf character design that sits on one side of the face for a Christmas and winter look.
The images on the product photos are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is determined by the makeup you choose to use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest result. A damp sponge with face paint works too, but the detail becomes less precise because of the stencil's size.
- Fast character effect. A complete Candy Elf look in 2 to 3 minutes. Handy for busy Christmas markets, family days and workshops where you need to work through a queue quickly.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The mylar is thin and pliable, so it sits neatly against the cheek, forehead and nose bridge without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one side of the face, with the eye cutout sitting around the eye.
- Spray with the airbrush for the sharpest, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp face paint sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine details are harder to achieve because of the stencil's size.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Don't slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip with face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-based face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with mild soap. Pat it dry gently and leave it flat until completely dry. Don't roll it or fold it, or the mylar will develop permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve the alcohol-based paint without causing the mylar to swell.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
