How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the colours lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Load your brush across multiple colours in one stroke for a smooth colour transition. Use a water pot and refresh your water between colours to keep shades clean and vibrant.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic fibres that leave no fluff. For detail work and linework, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or looking dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades like the neon magenta in this cake.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, allowing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
