The Diamond FX Splitcake Steampunked 50gr is a professional wax-based face paint with five metallic shades in a steampunk colour palette. The splitcake combines Metallic Sahara Gold, Metallic Gold, Metallic Old Gold, Metallic Copper and Metallic Black. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 50 grams you can paint 15 to 22 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps your colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for face paint with soft synthetic fibres that leave no fluff. For detail work and fine lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A pot of fresh water prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense metallic pigments.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear when you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour adjustment. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
