How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the compact using a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the paint. Clean water keeps colours crisp and vivid - use a water bowl and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and fine lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water bowl with fresh water at your workstation prevents colours from mixing or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades such as neon pink or bordeaux red.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
