One stroke of a damp brush or sponge picks up multiple colours at once, letting you create complex designs quickly without mixing colours separately. How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly using a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly onto the cake. Sweep your brush or sponge across the colours in one smooth stroke for the one stroke effect. Use a water pot and refresh it regularly to keep colours clean and vibrant.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic fibres that don't leave fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing or turning dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, allowing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - you want to avoid that. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own when you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is actually one of its strong points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through.
