Diamond FX Splitcake Raving Rainbow (50gr) - one stroke face paint, wax-based
The Diamond FX Splitcake Raving Rainbow (50gr) is a professional one stroke face paint on a wax base with five colours in one compact: light green, yellow, orange, pink and purple. The wax base keeps the colours from blending into each other as you work, giving you full control over your one stroke designs. With 50 grams you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water bowl and refresh it regularly between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water bowl with clean water next to your workspace prevents the rainbow colours from mixing or going dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with bright shades like pink and purple.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp wipe that takes the face paint off in one go, ideal at parties and events where you paint many children in a row
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Raving Rainbow for
- Children's birthday parties - rainbows, butterflies, flowers and colourful designs in one stroke
- Fancy dress and themed events - cheerful colourful looks applied quickly and easily
- Festivals and outdoor events - high output, as one brush stroke picks up multiple colours at once
- One stroke patterns like roses and petals - the colour gradient is already built into the splitcake

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own when you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50 gram compact you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strong points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
