Diamond FX Splitcake Black-out (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Black-out (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with high pigmentation and strong coverage. This one stroke splitcake contains alternating blocks of Essential White and Essential Black - perfect for zebra patterns, animal prints and graphic designs with crisp, clean edges. The wax base lets you layer colours without them bleeding into each other. With 50 grams you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essentials colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the splitcake with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps your colours crisp and true - use a water tub and rinse it between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't shed. For crisp lines and details, grab the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water tub with clean water next to your workspace stops black and white mixing to grey.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from deep, intense pigments like solid black.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a quicker, easier removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a moist cloth that takes the paint off in one sweep, ideal at events and children's parties where you're painting lots of faces in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. If skin is sensitive, do a patch test 24 hours before use.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50 gram splitcake you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vibrant.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that's one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
