ProAiir Profile Stencil Teethless
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are built to cover half a face in minutes. With this Teethless Profile Stencil you place a dragon-head character with an eye cut-out on the forehead for an instant fantasy look. Position the stencil, press flat, airbrush, lift, done. Great for kids' parties, fantasy cosplay and anyone who wants a recognisable dragon look quickly.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. A make-up sponge or finger sponge can work too, but the size of the stencil makes it more of a challenge.
What is the Profile Stencil Teethless?
A reusable make-up stencil in flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (roughly 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a dragon-head character with an eye cut-out, placed across the forehead for a fantasy half-face effect.
The colours in the product photos are examples only; the colour that lands on the skin is whatever face paint or airbrush ink you choose to use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Designed for airbrush. Works with ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest lines. A damp sponge with face paint works too, but the large format makes fine detail harder.
- Fast character effect. A full dragon look on the forehead in 2 to 3 minutes. Handy when you have a queue of children at a birthday party.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The thin, flexible mylar sits flush against the forehead and brow without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Position the stencil flat against one half of the face, with the eye cut-out centred over the eye.
- Airbrush for the best, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp make-up sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Keep in mind that fine detail is trickier due to the size of the stencil.
- Lift the stencil straight off. Don't slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip with face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint bleeds under the edges, making lines go soft.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-based face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a little mild soap. Pat dry gently and lay it flat until completely dry. Don't roll or fold it, otherwise the mylar will crease permanently.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. Both dissolve the alcohol-based paint without swelling the mylar.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
