ProAiir Profile Stencil Lil Monster
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to paint half a face in no time at all. With this Lil Monster Profile Stencil you place a cute, wide-eyed monster character on the side of the face. Position the stencil, press it flat, airbrush, lift, done. Great for Halloween, kids parties and monster-themed events.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a makeup sponge or finger sponge is possible, but the size of the stencil makes it more of a challenge.
What is the Profile Stencil Lil Monster?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (about 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a friendly Lil Monster figure with an eye cutout, designed to sit on the side of the face.
The colours shown in the product photos are examples. The colour that ends up on skin is whatever you choose with your own makeup.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. Works with ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest lines. A damp sponge with water-activated makeup works too, but fine detail becomes harder at this scale.
- Fast character effect. A complete Lil Monster look in 2 to 3 minutes. Ideal for face painters working through a queue of kids at a Halloween event or birthday party.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it well, store it flat, and it will last for years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The thin, pliable mylar hugs the cheek, brow and nose bridge so the edges stay in contact and lines stay crisp.
How to use the stencil
- Press the stencil flat against one side of the face, with the eye cutout lined up over the eye.
- Spray with an airbrush for the sharpest, most detailed result. Or dab with a damp makeup sponge if you don't have an airbrush. Keep in mind that fine detail is harder to achieve without a gun.
- Lift the stencil straight off. Don't slide it across the skin or the lines will smear.
Tip for water-activated makeup: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the colour bleeds under the edges, making lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated makeup? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a little mild soap. Pat it dry and leave it lying flat until completely dry. Don't roll it or fold it, or the mylar will develop permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve alcohol-based makeup without causing the mylar to swell.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
