This palette is the light-to-medium option in the Ben Nye MatteHD Foundation range. The 12 cream foundations provide medium coverage that builds to full coverage. The matte HD finish minimises pores and texture without reflecting under studio lighting or on camera.
Within the Ben Nye foundation range there are four palettes. The Diverse Harmony palette (HDFP-10) covers a broader range of skin tones across 18 shades. For medium-to-deep skin, the Olive-Brown Palette (HDFP-14) and the Olive-Brown Palette (BFP-12) are the right choice.

How to use Ben Nye Essential MatteHD Foundation Palette
Work with a synthetic foam sponge or a dense foundation brush for an even base. Use a mixing palette and spatula to blend shades into a perfect match.
- Base layer: press the cream foundation onto the forehead, cheeks and chin with a damp synthetic sponge, blend outwards.
- Custom shade mixing: scoop two shades onto the mixing palette and blend with a spatula to the right undertone for each client.
- Building to full coverage: let the first layer set slightly, then press a second thin layer onto problem areas for full coverage without a mask effect.
Setting and removal
Set the foundation with Neutral Set Powder and a large powder puff or powder brush. For long shoots or warm conditions, follow with Ben Nye Final Seal for extra staying power.
Remove the foundation at the end of the day with Ben Nye Quick Cleanse or Mehron Blank Canvas Remover, followed by warm water and a gentle facial cleanser.
