What burn and trauma looks can you create with this wheel?
The four colours cover the full visual range of burn damage. Burnt Coral (FX-3) and Fire Red (CL-13) build up the raw redness of fresh burns and blistered skin. Medium Plum (FX-1) and Charcoal Blue (FX-4) add depth - for inflammation edges, bruised tissue and charred zones.
Together they let you depict first-degree surface burns right through to deeply scorched skin, including the purple-blue discolouration that realistic burn damage requires.

How to use
Apply with a Mehron Latex Foam Sponge for soft, stippled transitions, or use your fingers or a fine brush for warmer blending and sharper edges. The crème works directly on skin as well as on latex, gelatine, wax, silicone and prosthetics. For a more transparent application, mix a small amount on a palette with 99% alcohol to create a thinner, tinted wash.
Pro tip: Start with Burnt Coral across the whole wound area as your base, layer Fire Red on the burn centre, then work Medium Plum into the edges and deeper zones. Stipple Charcoal Blue sparingly for charred tissue or heavily burnt patches.
Setting and removing
Crème makeup always needs to be set. Once applied, dust on a layer of setting powder with a powder puff and remove any excess with a clean brush. This locks the look in place - even through long shoots or high-intensity events.
To remove, use an oil-based makeup remover such as Ben Nye Quick Cleanse, or gentle soap and water. Oil-based removers break down the crème formula comfortably without harsh rubbing.
