The Ben Nye Death Wheel is a compact cream makeup wheel from Ben Nye with six corpse-like and deathly shades for zombies, vampires and horror looks. The soft cream formula is highly pigmented, easy to blend and works on skin as well as latex, gelatine, wax and silicone.

What zombie and vampire looks can you create with this wheel?
The six shades are chosen specifically for deathly and corpse-like effects. Death Flesh and Death Straw create a gaunt, lifeless complexion. Frankenstein delivers that iconic monster green. Pale Vampire is the classic undead skin tone. Death Purple and Death Blue Gray add discoloured shadows, veins and bruising.
Together they let you build a complete horror base quickly, without switching between separate pots.

The cream formula also applies directly over latex, gelatine and wax prosthetics, so you can work seamlessly on top of appliances.
How to use it
Apply with a damp latex foam sponge for soft, stippled transitions. Use your fingertips for warm blending on larger areas. For a more translucent layer, thin a small amount on a mixing palette with 99% alcohol and apply with a fine brush.
Pro tip: Start with a thin layer of Death Flesh across the whole face as a base. Work Death Purple and Death Blue Gray into the hollows around the eyes and cheeks. Finish with Frankenstein or Pale Vampire as your accent colour depending on the character.
Setting and removing
Set cream makeup with a setting powder applied with a powder puff. Press the powder lightly over the makeup, then brush away any excess. Once set, the makeup is more transfer-resistant and longer lasting.
Remove with Ben Nye Quick Cleanse or another oil-based makeup remover. Water and soap alone won't do the job - cream makeup grips well and needs a proper remover.
