Which zombie and undead looks can you create with this wheel?
The six colours are matched to realistic death and decomposition effects. Sallow Green (FX-11) and Goldenrod (FX-121) create rotting skin tones, while Bruise (FX-2) and Midnite Violet (FX-7) deliver lividity and bruising. Dried Blood (FX-32) and Steel Grey (CL-25) add depth and a deathly pallor.
The result is convincing zombie, undead, and corpse looks that work on bare skin as well as over prosthetics. Ideal for Halloween attractions, scare mazes, theatre, and film productions.
When do you choose this wheel over individual colours?
Choose this wheel when you want all the base shades for a convincing zombie look in one compact format. The colours are matched to work together, so you spend less time testing combinations and more time creating.
The cream formula is also the right choice when working over latex or silicone prosthetics. Unlike water-activated face paints, the cream formula adheres well to these surfaces without crumbling or flaking.
How to use it
Apply with a Mehron Latex Foam Sponge for soft, stippled transitions that mimic decaying skin. For warm blending, use your fingers. For sharp edges or fine details, reach for a fine makeup brush. For a more translucent layer, mix the cream with 99% alcohol on a palette.
Pro tip: Start with Steel Grey as a deathly base across the face, blend Sallow Green onto the cheeks and around the eyes, then work Midnite Violet into the hollows at the temples and jaw. Finish with Dried Blood on any wound edges or scratches for the most convincing result.
Setting and removing
Cream makeup needs to be set to keep it in place. Use a setting powder applied with a powder puff, then sweep away any excess with a loose brush. For long events, a fixative spray on top adds extra hold.
Remove with a makeup remover such as Ben Nye Quick Cleanse, or with soap and water. If you are working over prosthetics, remove the appliance first before cleansing the skin.
What can you use it for?
- Zombie and undead looks for Halloween and scare attractions
- Corpse and cadaver effects for theatre, film, and TV
- SFX looks with rotting skin and bruising
- Horror makeup over latex, gelatine, or silicone prosthetics
- Professional makeup competitions and shows
