ProAiir Profile Stencil Mystic
The ProAiir Profile Stencils are designed to transform half a face in minutes. With this Mystic Profile Stencil you place a mythical fantasy character design on the side of the face. Position the stencil, hold it flat, airbrush, lift it off, done. Great for kids' parties and birthdays, festivals and events, or fantasy cosplay and LARP.
Note: these stencils are designed for use with an airbrush. Using a makeup sponge or finger sponge is possible, but the size of the stencil makes this more challenging.
What is the Profile Stencil Mystic?
A reusable makeup stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick). One character design per stencil: in this case a Mystic character cut into mylar as a half-face stencil for the side of the face, suitable for fantasy looks and kids' parties.
The images in the product photos are examples. The colour that lands on the skin is determined by the makeup you choose to use.
Why pick this stencil?
- Built for airbrush. The stencil works with your ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink or Endura for the sharpest results. A damp sponge or water-activated face paint works too, but the large format makes fine detail harder to achieve.
- Quick character effect. A complete Mystic look in 2 to 3 minutes. Perfect for busy events where you move quickly from face to face.
- Reusable. Mylar is durable and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat, and it will last you years.
- Follows the contours of the face. The thin, flexible mylar hugs the cheek, forehead and nose bridge without the edges lifting.
How to use the stencil
- Place the stencil flat against one half of the face, with the eye cut-out positioned around the eye.
- Airbrush for the best and most detailed result. Or dab with a damp makeup sponge if you do not have an airbrush. Bear in mind that fine details are harder to achieve given the size of the stencil.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Do not slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip for water-activated face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making the lines blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Used water-activated face paint? Rinse the stencil under lukewarm water with a mild soap. Pat it dry gently and leave it flat until fully dry. Do not roll or fold it, or the mylar will develop permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid or Ink? Clean the stencil with 99.9% alcohol or ProAiir ProClean. These dissolve the alcohol-based paint without causing the mylar to swell.
For storage: keep the stencil flat in a stencil rack or between two sheets of paper inside a flat folder.
