What is the Diamond FX Kabuki Brush?

The Kabuki Brush has a dense round head of synthetic hair and a short sturdy handle. The bristles are ultra-soft, making them comfortable on all skin types.

Synthetic hair absorbs less water than natural hair. That means the brush keeps its shape during use and is much easier to clean after a busy session.

How to use the Kabuki Brush

For dry use: tap the brush lightly into the powder and knock off any excess before applying. Skip that step and the colour becomes very intense, or a white cast appears when using setting powder.

For wet use: dampen the brush, squeeze out the water and load it with face paint. The round head covers large areas quickly, which is ideal for speedpainting or base layers in bodypaint and theatre work.

Pro tip: Use the Kabuki Brush at the end of a look to brush away any excess loose powder from the face. Wipe it clean on a tissue first until no more colour comes off.

Cleaning and care

Wipe the brush between colours using a tissue or mild soap. For a deep clean after a session, use the Diamond FX Brush Soap (100g). To remove face paint from skin, choose the Diamond FX Skin Soap (25g).

Gently squeeze out excess water, do not wring. Leave the brush to dry flat or with the bristles pointing downwards.
