How do you apply the Ripped Flesh? (step-by-step)

1. Prepare - Make sure the skin is clean, dry and free of oil or make-up. Hair-free is best. Have a pair of scissors, a damp sponge or cloth, and lukewarm water ready.
2. Activate the transfer - Remove the card from the packaging. Gently peel the transparent effect sheet away from the paper backing, then place the sheet face-down (FX-side down) back onto the adhesive transfer paper. This keeps the prosthetic firmly in shape. Smooth out any air bubbles.
3. Cut out - Trim the transfer neatly without cutting into the edge of the prosthetic.
4. Expose the adhesive side - Remove the transparent top layer so the adhesive side is visible.
5. Position - Place the transfer on the arm, leg or chest and press firmly. Do not slide it after placing.
6. Apply water - Thoroughly wet the paper backing with your sponge or cloth. Wait about 30 seconds until the paper becomes translucent.
7. Remove the backing - Carefully slide or peel the paper away. Pat dry and press the edges down again for a seamless blend.
8. Finish - Finish with make-up and a little fake blood for extra depth and a convincing result.

Removal

1. Remove any make-up and blood residue with warm water and a cloth.
2. Lift one edge and gently roll the transfer off the skin. Any remaining adhesive can be removed with Mouldlife Life-Wipes or Ben Nye Remove-it All. Rinse the skin with water afterwards.

Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

• Not using enough water - make sure the backing is completely soaked and translucent before you remove it.
• Moving the transfer after placing it - press down firmly straight away and don't shift it.
• Using too much blood - a small amount of fake blood along the edges and in the recesses gives a more realistic result than overdoing it.
