How do you apply the Torched Trauma FX? (step-by-step)

1. Prepare - Make sure the skin is clean, dry and free from oil or make-up. Grab a pair of scissors, a damp sponge or cloth and lukewarm water.
2. Cut out - Cut the transfer out around the outer edge of the design, leaving a small border.
3. Remove the top layer - Carefully peel off the transparent protective film to expose the adhesive side.
4. Place + activate - Press the adhesive side firmly onto your arm, leg or torso. Wet the paper backing completely with your damp sponge and wait about 30 seconds until the paper turns translucent.
5. Remove paper + finish - Slide the paper gently to one side. The tattoo stays behind as a detailed print on your skin. Add a touch of fake blood for extra impact.

Removal

1. Remove any make-up and blood residue with warm water and a cloth.
2. Lift a corner of the tattoo and roll it gently away from the skin. Remove any adhesive residue with Mouldlife Life-Wipes or Ben Nye Remove-it All. Rinse the skin with water afterwards.

Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

• Pulling the paper too soon - Wait the full 30 seconds until the paper is completely translucent. Pulling early tears the tattoo or leaves loose edges.
• Not pressing the transfer down firmly - Press the tattoo down firmly across the whole surface before wetting the backing. Air bubbles cause patches that don't transfer.
• Too much fake blood on top - Less is more. A thin line of blood along the edges of the burn looks far more convincing than a thick layer over the whole effect.
