When should you choose this wheel over individual creme colours?
The colours in this wheel are balanced and designed to work together. You switch between shades quickly, blend them directly on the skin, and always have the right tones to hand. Choose this wheel if you regularly create military looks and do not want to hunt down individual pots every time.
The creme formula is softer and warmer than water-activated face paint, making it easier to blend shades organically for a convincing camouflage pattern.
How to use
Apply with a Mehron Latex Foam Sponge for soft, stippled transitions, or with your fingers for warm blending. For sharp camouflage edges, use a fine brush. Want a more transparent effect? Mix a small amount on a palette with a drop of 99% alcohol for a thinner, semi-sheer layer.
Pro tip: Start with Desert Tan as a base across the whole face. Apply Army Green in rough patches on the nose, cheeks and forehead. Work Coal as deep shadows along the jaw and around the eyes. Blend the edges softly with your fingers for a convincing camouflage pattern.
Setting and removing
Creme makeup should always be set with a setting powder. Apply with a powder puff and remove any excess with a loose powder brush. This locks the look in place, even during long shoots or busy events.
Remove with a mild oil- or creme-based makeup remover, such as Ben Nye Quick Cleanse. Warm water and soap works in a pinch, but a proper remover cleans more thoroughly with this formula.
