How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the colour. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic fibres that don't leave fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, use a yellow face paint sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A pot of clean water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing and going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining - dark blue is known to leave pigment residue on lighter skin tones.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
