Diamond FX Essential Mint Green 30gr - wax-based face paint

The Diamond FX Essential Mint Green 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint known for its high pigmentation and strong coverage. The wax base lets you build up layers without colours bleeding into each other. With this 30g pot you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, gluten-free, and free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or use a damp, well-squeezed sponge or brush. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

  • Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated paint with soft synthetic fibres that don't leave fluff. For detail work and fine lines, go for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
  • Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
  • Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing or going muddy.
  • Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades like turquoise, dark green or mint.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid that. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:

  • Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed to remove Diamond FX face paint
  • Remover Towel - a damp wipe that takes the face paint off in one go, ideal at events and children's parties when you're painting many faces in a row

What to use Diamond FX Essential Mint Green for

  • Children's face painting at parties and events - frogs, snakes, dinosaurs, aliens and other green characters
  • Fantasy and fairy looks - mint green fairies, elves, forest spirits and other fairy-tale characters
  • Halloween and themed events - monsters, zombies, witches and creature looks with green skin tones
  • Cosplay and character make-up - base colour for green characters, blending layer over other shades
  • Body painting and theatre - flat mint green base layers and shading for performers and cast

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Yes, Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, gluten-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range meets EU and FDA cosmetics guidelines. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance on sensitive skin.

How many faces can you paint with 30g?

A 30g pot covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in normal light and only come alive under blacklight; the other Neon shades are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its strongest features. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the layer underneath showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
