Diamond FX Essential Light Orange 30gr - wax-based face paint

The Diamond FX Essential Light Orange 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint known for its high pigmentation and strong coverage. The wax base lets you build up layers without colours bleeding into each other. With this 30 gram pot you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, gluten-free, and free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients, suitable for the skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the colour. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water bowl and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

  • Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
  • Use the right sponge. For covering larger areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
  • Keep your water clean. A water bowl with clean water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing or turning dull.
  • Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense colours like turquoise, dark green or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.

For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:

  • Diamond FX Skin Soap - developed specifically for removing Diamond FX face paint
  • Remover Towel - a moist cloth that lifts the colour in one swipe, ideal at events and children's parties where you paint many faces in a row

What to use Diamond FX Essential Light Orange for

  • Children's face painting - tigers, lions, foxes and other animal looks at birthdays and parties
  • Halloween and themed events - pumpkins, witches, flames and other orange-based looks
  • Body painting - warm base colour for sunsets, flames and vibrant compositions
  • Cosplay and character makeup - skin accents, fantasy looks and colourful transformations
  • Theatre and events - bold colour blocks that read well from a distance

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear when you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Yes, Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, gluten-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range meets EU and FDA cosmetics guidelines. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.

How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?

A 30 gram pot covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte, opaque face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, and that is one of its strong points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
