How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly using a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours vivid and true - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that won't shed. For detail work and line art, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For covering large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paints.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace stops colours from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like dark green, turquoise or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
