What makes the talk base different from other face paints?
Magicake uses a talk base rather than glycerin. That delivers strong, consistent pigment: in practice, one layer is often enough for full coverage. The paint dries in seconds and holds for several hours without a fixative.
Talk absorbs water slightly more slowly than glycerin-based paints. Use a brush that's a little wetter than you might be used to for a smooth application.
How to use it
Activate the face paint with a damp brush or sponge. More water gives a more transparent result; less water gives fuller coverage. Build up thin layers and let each one dry before adding the next colour.
Pro tip: When face painting, start with Cloud White as a light base under vivid colours like RM-16 (Hot Pink) or RM-7 (Azure Blue). Colours come out brighter on every skin tone, including deeper complexions.
Setting and removing
Once dry, the face paint is already smudge-resistant. For outdoor events or heavy use, seal the look with Ben Nye Final Seal or a fixative spray.
Removal is straightforward with water and soap or a mild make-up remover.
