Fire Red is a clean, intense red - perfect for clown noses, devil faces, vampire accents or bold carnival make-up. It also works well for body paint accents and graphic costume looks.
The pigmentation is strong enough that one thin layer usually gives you full coverage straight away.
When should you choose a single pot over a palette?
Choose this single pot if you already own a palette and want to keep a back-up of Fire Red on hand, or if you go through red quickly and need a refill. It's also a handy spare for busy face painting days.
If you're starting out and don't have any red face paint yet, the MagiCake Primary Palette with eight base colours is likely the better option.
How to use it
Activate with a lightly damp brush or sponge. The talc formula absorbs water a little more slowly than glycerin-based face paints, so use slightly more water for smooth application. It dries within seconds and lasts for hours without a fixative.
Pro tip: For a crisp clown nose, apply Fire Red with a small round brush and build the edges up with a second thin layer. For a worn, blended effect around the edges, lightly buff outwards with a dry sponge while the paint is still slightly damp.
Setting and removing
For all-day wear - think fancy dress events or outdoor festivals - seal with Ben Nye Final Seal. Removal is easy with soap and water or a gentle make-up remover.
