Slime is the go-to colour when you need a glistening, organic look. Think alien infections, zombie secretions, monster saliva or a slimy cave creature. The yellow-green shade delivers that just-real-enough slime effect that reads well in photos and on camera.

It works on skin, but is equally effective in hair and on clothing or props. That makes it just as useful for a make-up artist at a Halloween event as for an SFX professional on a film set.

When should you choose loose Slime powder over a full kit?

Choose this individual pot if you use Slime regularly and get through it quickly, or if you want to combine it with other Grime FX shades you already have. You control the ratios and always have enough of the colour you use most.

It is also the practical choice when you are working on location and need to travel light: a 25-gram pot takes up almost no space, fits in any kit bag and holds enough powder for multiple shoots or events.

How to use it

Dry application: use a powder brush, sponge or stipple sponge to press the powder directly onto skin, hair or clothing. This gives a subtle, lightweight slime layer. Wet application: work with a slightly damp brush or mix the powder with a drop of glycerine or Mehron Mixing Liquid for stronger colour and better adhesion. Build up in thin layers for the most realistic result.

Pro tip: for a dripping slime effect, mix Slime with a small amount of clear glycerine to form a thick paste. Apply with a spatula or your fingers and let it trail along the jaw or chin. On camera, the effect is immediately convincing.

Setting and removing

Grime FX Slime adheres without a fixative. If you want to lock it in place for longer, lightly mist a fixative spray over the finished look. To remove, wash off with water and soap, or use a gentle make-up remover for a quicker result.
