When do you choose the Fuel Activator over pure IPA?

Pure isopropyl alcohol dries almost instantly. That leaves you very little time to blend, especially over larger areas like the chest or shoulders. The Fuel Activator gives you more working time, letting you build up and blend colours at a comfortable pace.

The lower alcohol percentage also makes it a better choice for sensitive areas where pure IPA can feel too harsh, such as around the eyes and under the nose. Choose this activator when you're working on sensitive skin or running extended body paint sessions where every extra second of working time counts.

Does the Fuel Activator work as well as 99.9% IPA?

Yes. Despite the lower alcohol content, the Fuel Activator activates Encore alcohol-schmink just as effectively. Colour dissolves, bonds to the skin and dries waterproof, just as with pure IPA.

The difference is in the working time and skin comfort. Two things that, in professional work, are often just as important as the activation itself.

How to use the Fuel Activator

Spray a fine mist onto your brush, sponge or directly onto the palette. Load your tool with the activated colour and apply to the skin. The spray format makes it especially convenient for covering large areas during body paint or belly paint work.

Pro tip: Spray the activator directly onto the Encore palette to activate several colours at once. This keeps your workflow tight during large body paint sessions without having to reload constantly.

Setting and removing

Once dry, Encore alcohol-activated makeup bonds firmly and is water-resistant. For extra durability in a production setting, seal with a fixative spray compatible with alcohol-activated makeup.

Remove with a suitable makeup remover or oil. Mild soap and water are not sufficient for alcohol-activated makeup.
