When do you choose Fuel Activator over 99.9% IPA?

Pure 99.9% isopropyl alcohol activates Encore colours fast, but it dries almost immediately. That makes blending and fine detail work tricky. The Fuel Activator slows things down slightly, giving you more time to work the colour before it sets.

Choose the Fuel Activator when you're working close to the eyes, under the nose, or on anyone with sensitive skin. The lower concentration is less harsh, while still providing the activation that Encore colours need.

How to use it

Pour a small amount into a separate mixing cup or apply directly to a brush via the screw cap. Dip your brush lightly and activate the desired colour from your Encore palette. Build up in thin layers, letting each one dry briefly before adding the next.

Pro tip: Use the Fuel Activator for detail work like veins, fine linework, and scar textures. Switch back to 99.9% IPA for larger areas where you need a quick dry time. Combining both gives you the most control over the full look.

Setting and removing

Once dry, Encore alcohol make-up is water-resistant and holds well without additional fixative. If you do want extra hold, use a fixative spray that is compatible with alcohol-based products.

Remove with an oil-based make-up remover or micellar water. Water alone won't break it down, as Encore colours are water-resistant by nature.
