Misty Violet sits right between decorative and realistic. For fantasy work it reads as a soft base for fairies, witches or unicorns. For SFX it doubles as a shadow colour for bruises, visible veins or lividity effects.
Pair it with a deeper purple or blue for added depth, or blend toward white for a lighter elven tone. It is one of those colours that pulls its weight in both directions.
When does a single pot make more sense than a palette?

How to use it
Activate with a lightly damp brush or sponge. The talc base picks up water a little more slowly than glycerine face paint, so use slightly more water than you normally would. The colour dries within seconds and holds for hours without a fixative.
Pro tip: For a convincing bruise, apply Misty Violet as the outer halo, blend inward with Deep Bruise or Black & Blue, and add a touch of yellow or ochre at the centre. That colour graduation is what makes it look real.
Setting and removing
For extra sweat resistance, activate with Mehron Mixing Liquid instead of water. A coat of Ben Nye Final Seal on top locks the look in further.
Removal is easy with water and soap or a gentle make-up remover.
