What character looks can you create with Ultra Lite?
Ultra Lite is the lightest skin tone in the Ben Nye MagiCake range. Use it as a base colour for mime looks, pale vampire looks, ghost make-up and character faces on very fair or pale skin tones. It also works as a highlight colour to lighten other shades or accentuate volume.
Combine it with Licorice Black for a classic mime, or with Vein and Deep Bruise from the SFX shades for an icy, pale undead look.
When should you choose Ultra Lite over a palette?
Choose a single pot of Ultra Lite when you already have a palette but need a larger quantity of this specific shade. A 7 gram pot lasts longer than one pan in a palette, which is handy if you use this colour often as a base layer.
It's also the right choice when you're doing face paint for a larger group and need to apply a quick pale base across entire faces.
How to use it
Activate with a lightly damp sponge or brush. The talc base absorbs water slightly more slowly than glycerin-based face paint, so use a touch more water than you normally would. The paint dries to a matte finish within seconds.
Pro tip: Apply Ultra Lite with a sponge as a solid base layer, then refine contours with a flat brush. This gives you an even pale base to build on with darker colours straight away.
Setting and removing
Ultra Lite holds for several hours without a fixative. For longer wear or active use, set it with Ben Nye Final Seal. Remove with soap and water, or with a gentle make-up remover.
