The Acrylic One Accelerator is an additive that shortens the curing time of the A1 acrylic resin system. Adding a small measured amount to the A1 Liquid reduces working time and demoulding time, without affecting the other properties of the mix. The 1 kg jerrycan is the production-size format for regular use.

What is Acrylic One Accelerator?

The Accelerator is a modifier you add to the liquid component of the A1 system. It speeds up the chemical curing process, allowing you to demould sooner and keep production moving. It does not replace A1 Liquid or A1 Powder - it only adjusts the processing time.

The Accelerator also corrects the retarding effects that certain pigments or fillers can cause. That makes it useful as a corrective measure whenever your A1 mix cures more slowly than expected.

When to use the Accelerator?

Use the Accelerator when you need a higher production pace. Think of serial work where you want to reuse moulds in quick succession, or situations where ambient temperature is slowing down the cure.

It is also helpful when working with pigments or fillers that have a retarding effect on the A1 mix. A small dose of Accelerator corrects that without disrupting the rest of the mix. Pro tip: Start at 0.5% of total weight and work up to a maximum of 1%. This prevents the working time from becoming too short to apply the material properly.

How to use the Accelerator?

Always add the Accelerator to the A1 Liquid before adding A1 Powder. Never add it to the powder or to an already-mixed batch. The maximum dosage is 1% of total mix weight. Always weigh the amount accurately.

Wear nitrile gloves during weighing and mixing to avoid skin contact with uncured material.

Combining with other Acrylic One additives

The Accelerator cannot be combined with Acrylic One Retarder. They work in opposite directions and combining them produces an unpredictable mix with uncontrollable curing behaviour.

Combining with Thixotropic A or ATP Powder is possible, provided you weigh the dosages separately and add the Accelerator to the liquid first.
