Acrylic One ATP Powder is a volume filler for the A1 acrylic resin system made by Active Composite Technologies in the Netherlands. Adding ATP Powder to the standard A1 mix thickens it into a paste-like consistency, suitable for filling seams, smoothing surfaces and applying thicker coating layers on props and moulds.

What is Acrylic One ATP Powder?

ATP stands for filler powder. It thickens the A1 mix without changing the chemical properties of the system. The working time of 20-25 minutes stays the same. The processing behaviour does change: the more ATP Powder you add, the more the mix shifts from a liquid towards a workable, spatula-friendly paste.

ATP Powder is intended for indoor use. Typical applications include finishing props, levelling positives from a mould, or applying a thicker base layer to EPS or foam before sealing with Sealer PLUS Gloss, Matt or Satin.

When to use ATP Powder?

Use ATP Powder when the standard A1 mix is too fluid for your application. Want to apply a smooth coating layer with a spatula? Need to fill an uneven surface in one pass without the material running? ATP Powder gives you a thicker mix and more control when working manually.

Pro tip: Combine ATP Powder with Thixotropic A if you need a mix that stays in place on vertical surfaces. ATP increases the volume, Thixotropic A gives the mix a gel-like structure that resists sagging.

How to use ATP Powder?

Start with the standard A1 mix at the fixed ratio of 1:2 by weight (1 part A1 Liquid to 2 parts A1 Powder). Then add the desired amount of ATP Powder and mix thoroughly using a High Shear Mixing Blade 65mm until the mass is even. Add the powder in small increments so you can control the final consistency.

Always wear gloves when handling ATP Powder and work in a well-ventilated space. Fine powder can become airborne during weighing.

Combining with other Acrylic One additives

ATP Powder combines well with Thixotropic A for extra structural stability, and with Accelerator or Retarder to adjust curing time. Never use Accelerator and Retarder in the same mix. Always add ATP Powder last, after any other additives have already been incorporated into the Liquid.
