Why choose nitrile over other gloves?

Nitrile is tougher than standard latex gloves and resists a wide range of chemicals used in SFX work - including silicone pigments, adhesives and alcohol-based products. Because there is no latex, you remove the risk of an allergic reaction entirely, both for yourself and for anyone you are working on.

The black colour also makes a practical difference in a professional setting. Colour transfer and staining are far less visible on black gloves, and they look clean and intentional during shoots or on-set work.

How to use them

Pull on a glove before handling any SFX material that stains or bonds to skin. Change gloves between applications where cross-contamination matters - for example, switching between PlatSil Gel work and ProAiir Airbrush Makeup.

Cleaning and care

These are single-use disposable gloves. Dispose of them after each use, especially when working with adhesives like Pros-Aide or with silicone compounds. Do not attempt to wash and reuse - the barrier integrity is not guaranteed after the first use.
