Woochie Latex Oozing Wounds (3pcs)
The Woochie Latex Oozing Wounds are three ready-to-use wound appliances made from latex, designed to create a dripping, festering wound effect. Stick them on, paint them up, add fake blood and your horror, Halloween or SFX look is complete.
What is the Oozing Wounds set?
A set of three latex prosthetics shaped like open, oozing wounds with realistic depth and texture. The edges are thinly finished to blend smoothly into the skin. Remove them carefully after use, clean them and store them dry - they can be used multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No kneading, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work goes into blending the edges, painting and the blood effect. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Oozing Wounds?
Hold the prosthetics dry against the desired spot on your skin first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quicker application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press each prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before moving on to paint the prosthetic.
Painting and blood
Colour the prosthetics using water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated makeup (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Start with red-purple in the deepest part of each wound, add a bluish edge around it, then apply drying blood along the sides. For the blood effect: fill the wounds with fake blood and add a spreading, drying layer on the surrounding skin.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smears. To remove, work a remover under the edges using Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil. Lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
What can you use it for?
- Halloween costume with realistic oozing wounds
- SFX work for film, photography or theatre productions
- Haunted house characters and horror events
- Cosplay as a zombie, horror victim or post-apocalyptic character
- Practice material for make-up artists in SFX training
