Mehron Synwax is a synthetic SFX modelling wax from Mehron for creating wounds, scars, 3D effects and eyebrow blocking. The 42g size is the handy working pot, easy to carry on set or in your kit. It stays pliable, moves naturally with the skin, and holds its shape once applied. Vegan and cruelty-free.

SynWax was developed as a modern alternative to traditional nose & scar wax. The wax stays pliable, moves comfortably with the skin, and is easy to model for scars, wounds, deformations and other 3D effects.

How to use Synwax

Clean the skin first. For extra adhesion, especially on mobile areas like the nose or brow, apply a thin layer of Mehron Spirit Gum first. Warm the wax between your fingers until it softens, then sculpt it onto the skin using a spatula. Blend the edges into the skin so they disappear, a small amount of petroleum jelly on your spatula helps with this. Once shaped, dust with setting powder to remove tackiness and lock the surface.

If you need extra protection against moisture or long wear, seal the wax with Mehron Fixative "A" Sealer before colouring with crème make-up or stage blood.

Pro tip: For a seamless wound edge, use a slightly damp fingertip rather than a spatula for the final blending pass, it gives you more tactile control over the transition zone.

Safety and removal

Gently scrape the wax off the skin with a spatula. Remove any adhesive residue with Mehron Spirit Gum Remover on a cotton pad. Then cleanse the skin thoroughly with Mehron Make-up Remover Cream and rinse with water and a gentle cleanser.
