- Start with clean, oil-free skin.
- Scoop out the desired amount and shape it using your fingers.
- Apply to the skin and blend the edges with your fingers or a spatula.
- Optionally, use a small amount of petroleum jelly or creamy balm on your fingers or spatula to help smooth the wax – but don’t use too much, as it may reduce paint adhesion.
- Seal with Mehron Fixative "A" Sealer before applying color for best results.

- After sealing, apply color with cream makeup or greasepaint.
- Use Mehron Colorset Powder to eliminate shine and tackiness. It also absorbs any excess grease from petroleum jelly used during smoothing.
- Remove by scraping off as much as possible with a spatula, then cleanse the skin with makeup remover and soap and water.
