FBFX Flocking Mauve, 20g

FBFX Flocking Mauve consists of very fine fibres that you add to silicone or gelatine when making a prosthetic. Mauve is a purple shade you use for bruising, corpse-pale undertones and mortis effects.

What is FBFX Flocking?

FBFX Flocking are fine coloured fibres developed specifically for making realistic prosthetics. You mix the fibres into silicone or gelatine before the material cures.

Unlike standard pigments, the fibres don't dissolve. They stay visible in the material and create small variations in colour like you see in real skin. As a result, a prosthetic looks more natural and less flat.

Mauve is added to Skin for old bruises or the mortis tones of a corpse. Mix it with Canary for the yellow-purple edge of an advanced bruise, with Berry for a deep purple-blue effect, or with Ghost for corpse pale. For fresh bruising, combine with Crimson.

How do you use Flocking Mauve?

Add a small amount of Flocking Mauve to your gelatine or silicone before the material cures. Mix thoroughly so the fibres are evenly distributed.

Building a specific skin tone? Use Mauve alongside other Flocking colours in small amounts until you reach the result you want.

Always start with a small amount. You can add more later, but too much Flocking can thicken the mix and make it harder to work with.
