When do you choose Fuel over 99.9% IPA?

Pure 99.9% isopropyl alcohol activates Encore palettes well, but it dries fast and can feel intense around the eyes or nose. Fuel has a lower alcohol percentage, so it works more comfortably on sensitive zones and on people who react more strongly to alcohol.

It also dries a little slower than straight IPA. That means more working time on skin, which is useful when blending colours or building up fine details without rushing.

Why is this bottle size practical?

The 30ml bottle fits easily in a kit bag for on-set work or touch-ups on location. It gives you enough activator for a project without carrying a large bottle around.

Choose this size if you work with Encore palettes occasionally, work on location, or want to try Fuel before committing to a larger bottle.

How to use it

Dip a clean brush into the bottle and use it to activate the makeup directly on the palette. Work with small amounts and build up gradually rather than oversaturating the palette surface.

Pro tip: Use a thin flat brush for small colour areas and a rounder brush for blending. Because Fuel dries more slowly than IPA, you have just enough open time to blend two colours together smoothly on skin.

Removing

Alcohol-activated makeup is best removed with a mild oil-based remover. Standard micellar water or water-based removers are not effective enough for this type of makeup.
