How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist it lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours pure and bright - work with a water pot and rinse between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that don't shed. For detail work and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Painting Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
• Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Rub the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
