How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the paint with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the colour. Clean water keeps colours pure and bright - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fibres behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing or turning dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades like turquoise, dark green or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid that. Gently massage in the soap and rinse well. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
