The Diamond FX Essential Clay 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint known for its high pigmentation and strong coverage. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other or blending unintentionally. With this 30g pot you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, gluten-free, and free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the skin of children and adults alike. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly using a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours vivid and true - work alongside a water container and refresh it between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no lint. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For covering large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water beside your work station prevents colours from muddying or looking dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining (pigment residue) with intense shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to penetrate deeper - avoid it. Gently rub in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. These usually disappear once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is hypoallergenic, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, gluten-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range complies with EU and FDA cosmetics regulations. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
A 30g pot covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon shades are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the layer beneath showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
