ProAiir QuickEZ Reptile Skin stencil
This stencil lets you stamp a realistic reptile scale texture onto skin in a single step. Press it down, spray with your airbrush or dab with a face paint sponge or finger sponge, lift it off, done. The quickest route to a convincing reptile look for body paint, cosplay or stage work.
What is the QuickEZ Reptile Skin stencil?
A reusable face paint stencil made from flexible, semi-transparent 7 mil mylar (approximately 0.18 mm thick).
The designs shown in product photos are examples; the colour that lands on skin is whatever paint you choose to use.
Size: approx. 11.4 x 14 cm, one design per stencil. The tab has a hole so you can hang the stencil on a key ring or stencil rack.
Why pick this stencil?
- Airbrush and hand application. Works with ProAiir Hybrid, ProAiir Ink, Endura and equally well with a sponge and water-activated face paint. You choose the technique that fits the job.
- Fast results. Press, spray or dab, lift, done. Perfect when you have a long queue of faces or body panels to get through at an event or shoot.
- Reusable. Mylar is tough and flexible. Clean it properly and store it flat, and it will last you many seasons and shows.
- Follows body contours. The thin, pliable mylar hugs cheeks, shoulders, upper arms and back without gaps or lifted edges.
How to use the stencil
- Hold the stencil flat against the skin where you want the reptile scale pattern.
- Spray with your airbrush or dab with a damp face paint sponge.
- Lift the stencil straight up. Do not slide it across the skin or the edges will smear.
Tip with water-activated face paint: keep your sponge damp, not wet. Too much moisture and the paint seeps under the edges, making your lines soft and blurry.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse the stencil with lukewarm water and mild soap after use. Pat it dry gently and leave it flat until fully dry. Do not roll or fold it or the mylar will develop permanent creases.
Used ProAiir Hybrid? Rub a thin layer of mild soap into the stencil first, then rinse with lukewarm water. The soap breaks the bond of the alcohol-based paint and pulls it free from the mylar.
For storage: hang the stencil from the tab hole, or keep it between two sheets of paper in a flat folder.
